Description

Tales of Blunt Blades is an artist book of short stories, poems and comics written about 43 blades from the social history collection at The Higgins Bedford. Between 2019 and 2021 I invited creative writers and members of the public to imagine new histories for each blade, giving space to people with a story to tell and asking them to think about the many roles knives play in our everyday lives.

The book was published alongside Blunt Blades, my exhibition at The Higgins Bedford from 2021 to 2022, realised with the support of The Higgins Bedford, Bedford Borough Council and Arts Council England. The exhibition grew from a body of work that began in 2013, when Bedfordshire Police gave me three crates of confiscated knives.

A5 paperback, 96 pages, 148 x 210 mm. First print run of 1,000 copies, 2021.

UK postage is included in the price. If you are outside the UK, please get in touch.
